Care & Maintenance

Product Care

To keep your full-grained leather looking timeless as the years pass, we recommend following these guidelines:

  • Avoid rubbing or scratching your product against abrasive surfaces. Avoid contact with greasy substances, cosmetics, perfumes, hydroalcoholic solutions, and any material (such as magazines or other leathers) that may transfer their coloured pigments onto the product.
  • We recommend wiping the lining with a dry, soft, light-coloured cloth to remove any superficial marks. Leather linings are not suitable for dry cleaning.
  • Keep your product away from damp or humid environments and avoid direct sunlight exposure.
  • Keep your product away from any direct source of heat (radiators, car interiors overheated by the sun, etc.).
  • Avoid contact with water. If your briefcase comes into contact with water, gently dab it with a pale, absorbent, non-fluffy cloth. Do not use any product containing soap or solvents.
  • Cover your product with the provided protective microfibre bag when not in use.

Precautions:

  • Handle full-grain leather with care, as it is susceptible to scratches.
  • Unused leather is tough and tensile.
  • Abrasion, perspiration, and exposure to water may cause colour fading or discolouration, which is inevitable due to the natural properties of leather.
  • Colour transfer may occur from deep-coloured leather to pale-coloured clothes and conversely, from black clothes/Denim to pale-coloured leather.
  • Colour transfer may occur if the leather adheres too tightly to other leathers or similar materials. If it happens, the colour will penetrate and be impossible to remove.
  • Pores, veins, wrinkles, and tiny scars are natural properties of leather.

Maintenance:

  • The product is not washable.
  • Avoid direct sunlight, as it accelerates leather aging, causes colour fading, and leads to dry cracking.
  • If you use a cleaner for maintenance, be sure to use a designated cleaner and try it on a non-obvious part before use.
  • It is strictly forbidden to use thinner and chemical solvents.
  • If the leather gets wet, pat it dry quickly with a soft dry cloth and dry it in an airy, shaded place.
